The Chemo Crew Connection

Providing hope and help to cancer patients and their families!

This work is never just about kits or programs—it’s about people.

Recently, we connected with a patient who shared how overwhelming everything felt in the early days of diagnosis. Between appointments, decisions, and the unknown, it can feel incredibly isolating. And yet, in that same conversation, they shared how something as simple as receiving a Chemo Crew kit reminded them they weren’t alone.

That’s what you are a part of.

Every act of support—whether it’s volunteering, giving, or simply sharing about Chemo Crew—creates moments of connection and hope for someone walking through cancer.

The Heart of Chemo Crew

When Amy first connected with Chemo Crew, it was as a patient attending one of our support groups.

Like many, she was navigating the uncertainty and challenges that come with a cancer diagnosis. In the middle of that season, she found something many patients are searching for—community, understanding, and a space where she didn’t have to walk through it alone.

"When I found the Chemo Crew, I was finally with people who got it. I was with people to help me process what I went through. I was with people who didn't tell me I should just be grateful I was alive."

Over time, that connection grew into something more.

What started as receiving support turned into a desire to give it. She began getting more involved, looking for ways to serve others who were walking a similar path.

Today, she serves as the Treasurer on Chemo Crew’s Board of Directors—helping steward and guide the very organization that once supported her.

Her story is a powerful reminder of what this community is all about.

Hope doesn’t just impact a moment—it creates a ripple effect.

What We’re Working On

Our strategic plan is guiding this next season of growth at Chemo Crew. We’re focused on:

  • Strengthening private industry partnerships
  • Serving the Latino community more intentionally
  • Building relationships with healthcare and community leaders
  • Creating sustainable funding for long-term impact
  • Expanding direct support to patients

Each step is about reaching more people with the care and connection they need.

If you’d ever like to learn more about our strategic plan or share your thoughts, we would truly welcome the conversation.
