This email is going to those of you who have been involved in our rated chess tournaments. I will be sending out another email today to our entire group. Remember, you can edit which email lists you are on by clicking the link at the bottom section of this email so that you can control how many and which emails you receive from Learners Chess.
A quick update about our monthly tournaments and others upcoming:
Sunday March 26th will be the State K-6th grade championships. This is not a Learners Chess run or sponsored tournament. It is a good one for more serious chess players. Here is a link to learn more and sign up.
Also, Spring Break for most of us is in 1 Week!
If you plan to and haven't yet, do get your child signed up for Spring Break Chess Camp! We are almost at full capacity for Spring Break!
Also, for the week of July 17th-21st, we will have our most advanced coaches working with our most advanced students. Any students with ratings over 600 with at least 12 rated games played will qualify for a 15% discount on top of all of our normal discounts, which, by the way, our earliest early bird discount expires tomorrow night!
Both these links come from the free and open sourced chess website, lichess.org. The site is free and has no ads. You can create an account for free and set it to "kid mode" for your kids to play on without you having to constantly monitor.
