Chester C. "Sonny" Routt  1931 - 2016 
Chester C. "Sonny" Routt, 85, of Wadsworth, Ohio, passed into eternal life after an eight year illness on November 29.   He was born on September 5, 1931, to the late Chester D. and Peggy (Cave) Routt in Wadsworth, Ohio.

Chester graduated from Wadsworth High School in 1949 and continued his education at the New England Conservatory of Music and Julliard School of Music.   He was drafted into the Marine Corps and served two years as a Chaplain's Assistant during the Korean War.

Chester worked for The Ohio Match Company and moved to Cleveland where he lived until his return to Wadsworth in 1976.   He retired from Westfield Company.   He began his piano training at age 13 with Florence Miller of Wadsworth, and carried his passion for classical music until his death.

He is survived by his sister Sandra (Walter) Batson;  niece Tammy (Tom) Miller;  nephews Greg (Fiona) Hahn and Doug (Jeanetta) Hahn;  and seven great nieces and nephews; childhood friend Don Rohn and his Apropos family.

The family will receive friends 5-7 PM on Friday, December 2, 2016 at Hilliard Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman Street, Wadsworth, Ohio, where funeral services will be held at 7 PM with Pastor Ruthie Trigg officiating.   Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.
