Holiday closings and updates:

  • Due to the increase in COVID cases, the library is moving to curbside services only effective immediately. 
  • We will be closed December 24 and 25, 2020; and open on December 26 at 10AM
  • The library will also be closed December 28 thru January 2, 2021; and reopen on January 4 at 10AM. Please do not return your library material to the Chester Springs book return bin until we reopen. 
 
Chester Springs Library Annual Appeal

Thank you to everyone who donated to our Annual Appeal. We appreciate your support more than you can imagine. If you have not donated, you still can. A donation of any amount is greatly appreciated.

Here are examples of what Annual Appeal donations bring you:
$25= an adult book, a children's picture book, crafts for story time 
$50= a grab bag program, supplies so participants can follow along in a virtual workshop
$75 = an eBook, a children's music program, a family yoga program
$250 = a summer reading show, a museum pass

Stories, finger-plays, and songs with Miss Ariel & Miss Nancy
Knit & Crochet Group

January 14, 21 & 28
1:30-2:30 PM

Zoom together and knit or crochet. Beginners to experienced participants are welcome. Share your knowledge and learn something new too, with others who enjoy knitting and crochet. 
For beginners, we suggest bringing any yarn, knitting needles or crochet hooks you have. We will be happy to get you started.
Please register. You will be sent the link to attend two hours before the class begins.
PS. Homeschool teens or tweens are super welcome!
Scratch Coding Game Design

for yoga classes from the library every other Saturday morning this fall.

Snowflake Workshop

Join Miss Ariel for snowflake science and fun making a few crafty snowflakes.

Music and movement for ages 6 and under.
 
Shake your sillies out, sing, and dance along to the music with Mr. Dan this morning.
 
Make sure to have something to shake, a scarf to twirl, and something to drum on.
Cooking with Chester Springs Library

Join Miss Mimi in her kitchen this morning, and make bread in a bag. She will lead us through the steps and techniques to bake a delicious loaf of bread. And, as a bonus, she will teach us how to make homemade butter while the bread is rising! Plus we will enjoy kitchen science and lots of math skills together.
This is a Zoom event that requires registration. 
It is designed for children to work with their adult, in their kitchen; using their own utensils, ingredients and an oven. Adult help will be necessary.
