June 2021 Newsletter
We are happy to announce a recent Libraries Transforming Communities: Focus on Small and Rural Libraries grant from the American Library Association. Chester Springs Library and the West Pikeland Township Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) are partnering to hold Community Conversations that bring the community and township officials together to learn about renewable energy. Please join us in discussing what renewable energy is, why it's important and how it can be part of the township’s sustainable future. Experts in the field will also take part in the conversations. Grant funding will also make it possible for the library to purchase material about renewable energy, environmental awareness, and climate change for adults and children; and allow us to create a space in the library where people can access information on EAC activities.

Community Conversations are scheduled for:
Saturday, June 5, 4PM A Community Conversation about Renewable Energy  - What is it, why now, and where can you begin.
Monday, July 26, 7PM Community Conversation and Book Discussion  - How to Avoid a Climate Disaster, by Bill Gates and/or The Future We Choose, by Christine Figueres
Saturday, September 11, 4PM Renewable Energy for Our Community's Future  - Using local and regional accomplishments to create a sustainable future.

SURVEY  - Community Conversations will be designed for you and we would like your input. Please take our quick and easy survey beforehand.
Open during regular library hours
