As the holidays approach, the library would like to ask our patrons and supporters to consider giving to the library during our annual appeal.

Without the generosity of our community, we would not be able to provide media, services and programming for the Chester Springs area.

Led by Charles Conwell, retired Professor of Theater, University of the Arts. Watch two versions of each play, Merchant of Venice, Othello and Macbeth, then discuss the artistic choices made by directors, actors and designers.

Holiday Stroll 2019
Historic Yellow Springs Holiday Stroll
December 13 4:30pm to 8pm
Kick-off the Holiday Stroll at 4:30 with a Story time at the library, then stroll the village for the rest of the festivities (tree lighting, visit with Santa, crafts, games, performances and more!)
 
We'll be having a book sale, children's activities and crafts throughout the evening.

A staff member will be available to answer questions and offer assistance, including SEPTA Key Senior ID Card sign ups (must be age 65+/bring your ID).

Cookbook Party! Fresh Flavors for the Slow Cooker
NO SCHOOL TODAY!
Looking for adults, young adults, or school-aged child and parent participants.

Choose a recipe from Fresh Flavors for the Slow Cooker cookbook – available to browse at the library desk. Prepare the recipe and bring it to the library for a potluck lunch. We’ll talk about the book, our cooking experience, and have a great time sharing a meal together. 7 copies of this cookbook will be given away at this event.

We are in need of teen volunteers to help during some of our children's programs. We can use help during the Holiday Stroll, and the New Year's Eve Day program.

A Visit From Mother Goose Show
Everyone will get caught up in the rhymes, sounds, and audience interaction when Mother Goose visits for fun, learning, and imagination.

New Year's Eve Day Celebration
Participants will rotate through activities that include STEM, craft, decorating a cupcake to take home; and then we will count down to 12 noon with balloons and confetti.

A LONGWOOD CHRISTMAS
