From the Headmaster's Desk

Hello St. Michael Community,

Throughout this journey, there have been many stretches—days, weeks, even months—where the work has felt like carefully setting up rows of dominoes without yet experiencing the joy of watching them fall into place.

November has been a welcome change. Many efforts taking place quietly behind the scenes have begun to bear fruit. Fr. Hertzfeld, Mr. Dow Campbell (Chief of Staff), and I continued our interview process and have extended numerous offers to exceptional candidates. A brief glimpse of the strengths we are seeing:

  • Highly qualified educators, including five with master’s degrees and one with a Ph.D.
  • Several candidates with deep experience in classical education
  • A consistent and inspiring witness of authentic Catholic faith

Even more exciting: many of these candidates have already accepted their offers, we have started announcing some of these hires, and we look forward to announcing the rest of our new hires to our community soon. We hope you share our enthusiasm as we welcome these individuals into the life of our school.

This past month, we also had an outstanding turnout at our Food & Fellowship event, hosting four visiting students—one of whom spent the full day shadowing. And to finish this week on a high note, we are blessed to welcome Mr. Dale Ahlquist, one of the founders of the first Chesterton Academy!

Thank you for your continued prayers, encouragement, and support for this grand adventure.

God Bless,

David Henley

Headmaster, St. Michael the Archangel Chesterton Academy

Supporting Our Academy

As we look ahead with hope and momentum, we are continually reminded that the growth of St. Michael the Archangel Chesterton Academy is made possible by the generosity, prayers, and partnership of families like yours. This season, we invite you to take a moment to reflect on the remarkable progress our young academy has made—and the exciting opportunities that lie before us.

Below, you will find a letter outlining several meaningful ways you can support our mission, from offering prayer and spreading the word, to contributing to Scholarship Granting Organizations or assisting with specific projects that directly enrich student life. Every act of support—large or small—moves our academy forward and strengthens the foundation we are building for future generations.

We are deeply grateful for your ongoing commitment to forming students in truth, beauty, and goodness. Thank you for walking with us on this journey.
