Chez News: March 2024

Corrected version with the right class year for our juniors!

March 2024

As springs begins, the calendar of Notre Dame events becomes full to bursting. We welcomed forty-five alums, parents, and friends of faculty volunteers for our 3rd Annual Career Fair on March 1st, celebrated Ring Day for the Class of 25 on March 8th, and are busy preparing for the 67th Annual Chez Nous Benefit on March 23rd. Meanwhile, ND sports have kept apace, with recent highlights in basketball and track, and the softball season just beginning!

A Bustling Career Fair Chez Nous!

Notre Dame is grateful to all the alums, parents, and friends of faculty who volunteered for the 2024 Career Fair, facilitated by faculty members Carly Stawski and Jackie Brilliant. Every one of our students had time to meet with the over 45 representatives from diverse fields, such as law, medicine, business, the arts, and technology. So many career options and pathways were presented!

Ring Day for the Class of '25

ND Juniors celebrated their Ring Day on March 8th. The festivities began with a special brunch in the Commons, organized by the Junior Homeroom Teachers, Ms. Angioletti, Ms. Crosson, Ms. Shea-Klot, and Mr. Stordeur. Families joined in for the lovely liturgy in the Dolan Center, planned by Sr. Mary Dolan and TLC (The Liturgy Club) with the help of Ms. Crimmins, Ms. Wakabayashi, and the Schola).

Sr. Virginia O'Brien offered remarks on the meaning of the ND crest and welcomed the Class of '25 to their rising leadership roles. Finally, rings and roses were blessed and distributed to smiles all around!

The 67th Annual Chez Nous Benefit is set for Saturday,

March 23rd, from noon - four pm at Pier 60, Chelsea Piers. Ms. Ruthie Landry, our Core Committee volunteers, and the entire ND Development team are working on overdrive this week to make sure the event is a huge success. The Benefit is Notre Dame's single most important fundraiser of the year, with proceeds supporting our vital scholarship and financial aid program. We hope to see you there!

A special reminder for ND Alums! The Heckscher Foundation has funded a $100,000 Alumnae Challenge Grant to boost giving and grow the next generation of supporters Chez Nous. To earn this matching grant, ND alums collectively need to give $100,000 more than in previous years by the end of our fiscal year on August 31, 2024. Please do your part by increasing your Annual Fund gift or by making your first donation to the school.
