Dear Friends of Petraits,

Kevin is a gentle, sweet, and adorable, four-year-old, mostly black Abyssinian guinea pig looking for a loving guardian.

Kevin came into rescue after his human mom went off to college. He had an eye infection that was bad enough to require eye removal.

He has recovered beautifully. He has a joyous personality. And, he just loves to eat and try new foods.

Kevin eats a diet of unlimited timothy, botanical and orchard hays, 1/8 cup of pellets daily, and fresh vegetables including romaine, red leaf and green leaf lettuces, cilantro, parsley, red pepper, dandelion greens, tomatoes, spinach and carrot tops, etc.

Please read up on guinea pig care, housing, and diet before adopting by visiting this excellent web site http://www.guinealynx.info/

He would love a home with people who will handle him daily, keep him well fed, nails trimmed, and habitat nice and clean.

He has lived in his own habitat for years. However, he was accustomed to chatting with other pigs in neighboring habitats.

If you’re interested in meeting and possibly adopting adorable Kevin, please fill out the adoption application at https://friendsofpetraits.com/guinea-pig-adoption-application/ and follow up by contacting friendsofpetraits@gmail.com to set up an appointment to meet and adopt him.

His adoption fee of $50 benefits the Friends of Petraits Rescue. For an additional $75, we’ll include a package of absolutely everything you need to care for him including a large cage, pellets, hay, litter, vitamin C treats, hidey hut and water bottle.

He is being fostered in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood.
