Our Mission: "Multiplying Leaders, Ministries and Healthy Churches"

BRINGING GLORY TO GOD - THROUGH THE CHURCH
"Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine...to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen." (Ephesians 3:20-21)

Where churches are healthy and multiply, there are always scores of unnamed people working behind the scenes. They get little credit or recognition for their labor. But when they get to heaven, they will hear our Savior say, "Well done, good and faithful servant" (Matthew 25:21). For them, that is enough because their ultimate purpose in life is to bring glory to God , not themselves.

After we spend time with people and understand their thinking, we quickly discover their attitudes, their spirit and their heart .  Paul instructs us, "So...whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God" (1 Corinthians 10:31). God created everything to reflect His glory. "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands" (Psalms 19:1). We are "kept from willful sins, blameless and innocent" (Psalm 19:13) when we "fan into flame" (1 Timothy 1:6) our passion for God to be glorified. For centuries, the church has testified, "Man's chief duty is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever."  (Westminster Catechism, 1647)

Jesus' great desire was to bring glory to God . The night before Jesus died, He prayed to His Father, "I have brought you glory on earth by completing the work you gave me to do" (John 17:4). As a CCD team, our desire is to do the same - to bring God glory and complete the work He has given us to do. Paul writes, "Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine...to Him be glory in the churchand in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen." (Ephesians 3:20-21).

Thank you for maintaining your spiritual focus of bringing glory to God within His church!  Thank you for serving so well on the Chicago Central District and for being Christ in Action. You are loved.

ORGANIC OUTREACH FOR CHURCHES

Come join other leaders from local churches at the Organic Outreach Training on Thursday, May 30 from 9 - 3 at the Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church. Together, we'll join hearts and minds for a day of inspiration, fun, collaboration and practical insights. Organic Outreach for Churches Training provides direction for congregations to weave the gospel-focused passion and practice into the very DNA of church life. Organic outreach happens when evangelistic vision and action become the domain of every ministry in a church and the commitment of every person in a congregation.

Registration can be completed here. Any Nazarenes wanting to attend can enter the code NAZ for a $20 discount. Contact  info@organicoutreach.org for more information.

DS VISITS

Ladies Day, held on the campus of Olivet last Saturday, was a day to remember! Denise enjoyed the day with Kathy Heck and Sherri Chapman.

Last week we were privilege to join PaxNaz in their soft launch service.  The church had been averaging around 20-25. They had 67 in attendance!

PRAYER REQUESTS AND CELEBRATIONS

Update from the Marklund family: Thank you for your prayers for Sammy. Surgery went faster than expected, only 4 hours and went really well. The surgeon was really pleased. Sam's hands and feet are pink for the first time!

Please continue to pray for Robyn Luttrell, especially for guidance in treatment for ongoing seizures.

We would love to hear any prayer requests or celebrations from our district pastors to include in our weekly communications. Please email us so we can lift each other up!
