Our Mission: "Multiplying Leaders, Ministries and Healthy Churches"
" God does not show favoritism but accepts people from every nation who fear him and do what is right " ( Acts 10:34-35 ).

The Church of the Nazarene is not an American church; we are a multi-national church. Most people have heard of Apple, Inc. that makes computers, phones, etc. They are one of the wealthiest and most well-known companies in the world and the first company in history to gain a market cap of over $1 trillion. Apple's market cap makes the company larger than the GDP of 183 out of the 199 countries for which the World Bank has GDP data. Apple, Inc. has more money than the church.

But Apple only operates in 24 countries of the world (ones where they can make money). The Church of the Nazarene operates in 160+ countries, almost 7 times more countries than Apple. We do not enter countries based on economic factors.  We operate among the poorest countries of the world. Our only agenda is the agenda of Jesus!

Because we are a global movement of God, we now send missionaries from dozens of countries to the locations they are most needed and suited. We are not limited to just a few countries or negatively impacted by what may be happening in the geo-political realm. Every country has an equal place at the Nazarene global movement table.  No country is deemed more important than any other. The Church of the Nazarene is a 21st century expression of the vision given to Peter by God. "God does not show favoritism but accepts people from  every nation who fear him and do what is right" (Acts 10:34-35).  What a privilege to participate in this kind of a movement!

Thank you for your prayers as we write this summer. Pray that this will continue to be a fruitful time. Thanks to  each of you   for being Christ in Action. Great days are ahead - you are loved.

Dr. Larry McKain, Superintendent
Chicago Central District
Church of the Nazarene

This past weekend was a celebration at Community Cup with the church sending out Phil and Denise Anderson as leaders to Cactus, Texas and with Mario Flores being installed as the new pastor.

Pictured here are Mario's parents along with his wife Makenzie who is expecting their first child in August.

Kent and Ellen Pitcher recently resigned from the church at Danville Southside. They are following God's leading to Colorado Springs.
Pastor Dave Anderson met with the Danville Southside Board following the resignation of Pastor Kent Pitcher.

We appreciate the ministry of Kent and Ellen among us and we wish them well as they move to Colorado. Please  be in prayer for them during this time of transition.

Dear Chicago Central District,

We have some sudden and wonderful news to share with you as we continue to listen and move where God leads us in ministry. With mixed emotions, we will be leaving the Gilman First Church family to accept an appointment to Burlington First Church, Wisconsin. That is right! We're moving to the land of cheese curds.

God is good and continually assures and blesses as we follow His direction for us, stepping out in faith. It has been a privilege to be a part of this district, to work with and be mentored by so many good leaders, and most of all to make connections that are now family to us. As we open ourselves to the broader work of God, please continue to pray for us while we continue to hold Chicago Central District up in our thoughts and prayers. May God be glorified in the work of our districts and His Church.

Yours in Christ,
Paul and Kathy Caldwell

Please be in prayer for Everyone Cares Camp - this is a long-standing tradition on the Chicago Central District that ministers to so many each year.

Dan Bohi Ministries will be in several churches on the district in just a couple of weeks.
