Our Mission: "Multiplying Leaders, Ministries and Healthy Churches"

TOGETHER WE BRING GLORY TO GOD
"Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine...to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen." (Ephesians 3:20-21)

Where multiplying  movement s happen, there are always scores of unnamed people working behind the scenes. They get little credit or recognition for their labor. But when they see the Savior, they will hear our Savior say, "Well done, good and faithful servant" (Matthew 25:21,23). For them, that is enough because their ultimate purpose in life is to bring glory to God  (Romans 5:2, 8:17).

Whether we are speaking one on one or reading a book written by a team, after we spend time with people and understand their thinking, we soon discover their attitudes, their spirit and their heart . Paul instructs us, "So...whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God" (1 Corinthians 10:31). God created everything to reflect His glory.

Jesus' great desire was to bring glory to God . The night before Jesus died, He prayed to His Father, "I have brought you glory on earth by completing the work you gave me to do" (John 17:4). Our desire is to do the same - to complete the work God has given us to do.

"We are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do" (Ephesians 2:10).  "Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine...to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen" (Ephesians 3:20-21). We believe the ultimate purpose of our lives in the church  is  to bring glory to God .

The above paragraphs are part of a chapter entitled, "A Great Future Together." Thank you for your prayers as we write this summer. Pray that this will continue to be a fruitful time. Thanks to each of you for being Christ in Action. Great days are ahead - you are loved.

DISTRICT WORK AND WITNESS TRIP

Join friends from around our Chicago Central District on this amazing Work & Witness trip to Nairobi, Kenya. We will be working at Africa Nazarene University to help them update all of their classrooms in celebration of their 25 th  Anniversary of the university.

Our trip will be from May 10 - May 20, 2020. The cost is $2,000. All project funds are being supplied by the CCD NMI district council. Please contact Lynne Utter at  lynne.utter@ccdnmi.org  or Ralph Goodwin at  rsgoodwin@comcast.net  for more information.

TEEN QUIZZING

The annual teen quizzing kick-off is approaching! Quizzing is an excellent opportunity for teens to hide God's word in their hearts and also to develop relationships with other teens from their church and district. The curriculum is a great tool - it functions as a built-in Bible study!

If you have teens from your church who would like to participate, consider pairing with another church from our district to create a team. Check out this Teen Quizzing promo video here and contact district teen quizzing director, Ron Marklund, for more information.
PRAYERS FOR THE PITCHERS

We want to thank Kent and Ellen Pitcher for their years of faithful service at Danville Southside. Their last Sunday was this past Sunday, July 28.  Let's bless them with prayers as they transition to Colorado.
