Chicora District

January 2025 Roundtable Recap

A note from the District Commissioner

Happy New Year! 2024 was a resounding success on so many levels for our District, our Scouts, and our Volunteers! January is the time to reflect on the things that paved way to success, ponder the misteps that led to roadblocks, and look to find new ways to best serve the youth of our communities. Chris, Adam, and myself, as well as all of our Commissioner Team and District Committee, are here to help you provide the best program possible for our Scouts.

Thank you to all the Leaders who joined us for our January Roundtable! A special thank you to those who donated soups/chilis and other items for everyone to share. We had great attendance with more than 25 people coming together to fellowship and learn.

This month featured great information about Winter Activities, New Member Coordinators, Activity Planning, and Risk Assessment.

I've included for you more information about our Roundtable Topics, helpful information, and other important links below.

Our next Roundtable event will be our District Awards Banquet on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 7 pm in the PALM Charter School cafeteria. This is an opportunity to celebrate the hard work and successes of our Adult Volunteers and all that they have done for Scouting this past year.

In closing, I'd like to thank everyone for a wonderful 2024 and I look forward to 2025 being a year of Scouting growth for the Chicora District.

Yours in Scouting,

Michelle Malcolm
