NHS of Chicago Announces Chief Operating Officer Donna Clarke to Join Community Development Organization in Los Angeles

CHICAGO, IL — Neighborhood Housing Services of Chicago, Inc. (NHS) announces that Donna Clarke, Chief Operating Officer since 2017, has accepted a new position with Neighborhood Housing Services of Los Angeles County, where she will serve as Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer.

“Donna has been an essential part of our leadership team for more than seven years, and her impact on NHS is immeasurable,” said Anthony E. Simpkins, President and CEO of NHS of Chicago. “She has led with innovation, heart, and a relentless commitment to equitable development. While we will miss her deeply, we are proud to see her expand her influence and leadership on a national scale.”

Since joining NHS Clarke has been instrumental in modernizing internal systems, streamlining operations, aligning organizational goals and launching new programs to address the creation and preservation of affordable housing. In late 2019 and throughout 2020, she led NHS through both a leadership transition, the pandemic, and boldly advocated for a lending agenda that truly supported the needs of under-resourced communities.

“We congratulate Donna on this exciting new chapter and thank her for her tireless work in service of our mission. NHS of Chicago is stronger because of her leadership, and we look forward to continued collaboration with our sister organization in Los Angeles,” said Simpkins.
