THE FLAME OF REPENTANCE HAS BEEN LIT !! THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND TANGIBLE SUPPORT THROUGH DONATIONS, BY WHICH WE CAN SUPPORT THESE PASTORS. TRIBAL CHIEFS REPENTING !!! WOW !!!!!!!
Here follows a report, put together between Bishop Edward, and our sister Susan Hammer.
On Friday 21st July, over 20 chiefs, together with many pastors and leaders came together in a time of Prayer and Repentance, as part of a Repentance gathering, at the Nyachirenda School in Marka, Nsanje which is in the Lower Shire region, which forms part of the Southern part of Malawi.
This is the highest number of chiefs and leaders ever to attend a single Repentance meeting in Malawi, says Bishop Edward..! These chiefs that attended this Repentance gathering, are almost half of the total chiefs in the area.
And overall it has been a very successful day, even though Bishops Edward & Sylvester had to face many challenges to arrive at the venue, including having to go through to the venue by bikes, as there is a fuel issue in Malawi at present.
Bishop Sylvester has called on the chiefs and church leaders to get united on response to the Great commission of Repentance. He applauded chiefs for coming in large numbers alongside church leaders.
The Chiefs and pastors and other leaders then all repented together of sexual perversions, witchcraft and suicide which are very prevalent in the area, after receiving the wisdom from the Holy Spirit that repenting in smaller groups saves time and helps people to come free...
They also had a vision of having Jesus farms to ensure food insecurity. And they bought the idea of farming, and want to support this vision further to create more food security.
They further prayed for unity among politicians, chiefs and church leaders
And then they prayed for more Godly leaders in Repentance.
Afterwards Bishop Edward & Sylvester handed out books - Biblica new testament Bibles in chichewa - the local language-which was donated in order to hand out to everyone during the meeting.
These books also contains nuggets of prayer, doing business, farming and leadership in a Christian way...
One Senior Group Village Head Monyo, has received Jesus at the Repentance conference for Lower Shire.
He has promised to walk with Jesus in Repentance journey.
He also said the he will destroy idols in his village and also influence Repentance under his chiefs !!
The vision going forward is to setup a Repentance Centre next in their area, as they have already came back to Group Head Chief Leah in Marka on Saturday, asking to know more about Repentance.
Still more testimonies and feedback to follow later, as this story continues. Here's Edward latest post: We arrived home safely. Group village head Leah called me on phone. She says chiefs praising GOD for great conference. They are visiting her home to hear more about Repentance!
