GOED has been working to help communities find innovative child care solutions. With a two-phased grant approach (planning and implementation), we hope to make an impact across the state.

The Implementation Grant will provide funding to execute strategies and plans that were created with the planning grants. Through this funding, we have been able to help a number of different of communities.

The state of South Dakota and Governor Kristi Noem won Site Selection Magazine’s 2023 Governor’s Cup.

South Dakota received this honor for having the most economic development projects per capita in the nation.

This win is a first for South Dakota, who had a total of 40 projects per capita in 2023.
