Child Care Resources
for Families and Essential Workers

Dear Neighbor,

While schools are closed I know many parents who are essential workers struggle to manage their job responsibilities along with their responsibilities as parents. Making sure kids are well taken care of while their parents continue to work can absolutely be a source of stress. This is why here in Long Beach there are resources available for parents as well as for childcare workers during the COVID-19 emergency.

Here in Long Beach through a partnership with Pacific Gateways, residents have access to in-home child care. This program  connects childcare workers with families who need in-home child care.

Additionally, Long Beach residents who are essential workers have access to child care resources through the Children's Home Society of California.
Here, you can apply for child care assistance and learn more about COVID-19 and child care, as well as search a list of local child care locations through this link
