ND Afterschool Network invites afterschool, summer learning, and other out-of-school time programs from across the state to showcase your high-quality programs. Afterschool programs serving youth ages 5 - 18 are essential to our state's youth, families, and communities. Join our efforts to celebrate afterschool, highlight what you do, and advocate for additional supports and investments. The event is open to the public.

SB 2107


SB2107 relates to annual training requirements for licensed child care programs.


Title: A BILL for an Act to amend and reenact subsection of section 50-11.1-03 of the North Dakota Century Code, relating to early childhood services training for licensure.


Last official action: Hearing held 1/13 at 10:00am. Watch video and see testimony submitted.


Committee discussed waiting to vote on SB 2107 until hearing for HB 1119 held, as similar language is in HB 1119.


HB 1100


Title: A BILL for an Act to provide an exemption to continue free school meal funding for delinquent meal debt and to provide for a legislative management report.

HB 1013 includes Department of Public Instruction budget and will have committee hearings throughout session.

HB 1012 is the Department of Health and Human Services budget and will have committee hearings throughout session.

HB 1119


HB 1119 was requested by the Department of Health and Human Services and proposes to reduce the number of child care license types.


Title: A BILL for an Act to create and enact a new section to chapter 50-11.1 of the North Dakota Century Code, relating to early childhood services training and certification requirements; to amend and reenact sections 50-11.1-02, 50-11.1-02.1, 50-11.1-03, and 50-11.1-04, subsection 1 of section 50-11.1-07.2, sections 50-11.1-11, 50-11.1-11.1, and 50-11.1-17, subsection 3 of section 50-11.1-18, and sections 50-11.1-23 and 50-33-08 of the North Dakota Century Code, relating to early childhood services and child care assistance; to repeal sections 50-11.1-02.3 and 50-11.1-02.4 of the North Dakota Century Code, relating to training requirements for early childhood services staff; and to provide an effective date.
