North State Giving Tuesday Supports Child Nutrition Services

GNS' Child Nutrition Services
School Mini Pantries and Holiday Snack Bag programs provide nutrition snacks for over 1,200 students enrolled in 11 schools in Siskiyou County. Local Rotary Club members, volunteers, and school personnel collaborate with GNS staff to ensure that students who need additional nutrition have access and can focus on learning, playing, and growing.

GNS' Child Nutrition services are fully supported by individual and corporate contributions, as well as grants from foundations. North State Giving Tuesday is a great opportunity to become part of this wonderful, supportive community, creating a brighter future for our children.

How to Donate:

Donate online here any time between now and December 2nd, 8pm. Or, mail a check to: Great Northern Services, 310 Boles St., Weed, CA 96094.

"Power Hours" sponsored by Community Foundation of the North State on December 2nd, between 11am-12pm, 3-4pm, and 7-8pm and your donation will be "boosted" by a pool of funds based on total donations GNS receives during each hour.

The 2025 Subaru Share the Love Event benefits national charities including Meals on Wheels Ameria and its local partners like Meals on Wheels South Siskiyou.

For every new Subaru vehicle purchased or leased at any participating Subaru retailer from November 20, 2025, to January 2, 2026, Subaru will donate $250 to the purchaser’s choice of charities.

Retailers can select up to two hometown charities in their local communities to receive at least an additional $50 total for each vehicle sold or leased to accompany the original donation. Furthermore, many participating Subaru retailers will donate $5 to their registered hometown charities for every Subaru vehicle routine service visit during the campaign period.

GNS has been selected for the second year in a row as a Hometown Charity by our friends at Redding Subaru. Learn more about the 2025 Subaru Share the Love event here, and about Redding Subaru's support for Hometown Charities here.

Thank you to Subaru of America and Redding Subaru for supporting the care and wellbeing of seniors in our communities!
