Dear VMS Parents,
We have received confirmation from the Alameda County Department of Public Health and Alameda County Office of Education that
we are able to offer Childcare for VMS Elementary and Middle School students while they participate in Distance Learning beginning August 17. This will provide a place for students to do their distance learning while being supervised by VMS staff, allowing those of you that need to return to work to do so. Here are some of the logistics:
- Students will be on campus in cohorts of 12 or less.
- Schedule Options: 8am - 3pm, 8:30am - 3pm or 8am - 5pm (additional childcare fee of $200 per month will apply for those staying until 5pm)
- All safety protocols will apply, including face coverings, social distancing requirements, and frequent hand washing.
- We will expect families that opt for this program to partner with us in following Covid-19 safety protocols to keep our VMS community safe.
Tuesday, July 28, at 7:00am, you will receive an email to sign up for this childcare option. Please complete as soon as possible as there will be
limited space available. We will accept a waitlist, if necessary, to monitor interest in the event we can expand the childcare program. For planning and scheduling purposes, sign-ups will close on Thursday, 7/30 at 5pm.
