Important Dates for the Year

Feb. 5 - Culver's Fundraiser for FLY

Our FLY (high school) students are going to New Orleans this summer for the ELCA Youth Gathering! To help fundraise, they are having a night at Culver's where a portion of the sales will go towards their trip. Please come to Culver's in Wheaton (908 E Roosevelt Rd) between 5 and 8pm and support our youth!

Feb. 11 - First Bible Class for 2nd Graders & Parents during the Education Hour

On Sunday, February 11, our 2nd graders and their parents are invited to join us for our First Bible class. We will be meeting in the Chapel. Students will be given their Bibles at the 11 am worship service on February 25.

Please let us know if you are able to attend by Sunday, February 4. If you have any questions, please contact Kayla.

Feb. 11 - Youth Sunday - locking away our 'alleluias'!

On February 11, join us in worship to hear from our FLY (high school) students! Everything in worship will be created and led by our youth. Come and hear their stories!

This is also the Sunday we lock up and hide our Alleluias and we need your student's help! This will happen during the service. You won't want to miss it.

Feb. 14 - Kid & Family Friendly Drop In Ashes - 5 to 5:30pm

This is a time designed specifically for children accompanied by their parents. There will be a sharing about what Ash Wednesday is about for children at 5pm followed by an open time for receiving of ashes. There will be prayer stations families can do together around the sanctuary. 

First Communion Classes for 3rd Graders & Up - Feb. 25, Mar. 3 & Mar. 10

“Welcome to God’s table!” We look forward to saying those words to your child soon. First Communion instruction for students in 3^rd grade and up will take place at Faith on the following dates:

Sunday, February 25 at 9:45am for students and parents

Sunday, March 3 at 9:45am for students and parents

Sunday, March 10 at 9:45am for students

We will meet in the Chapel (across from the Sanctuary). We ask parents to attend the first two communion classes with their student as this allows you to be a part of their First Communion experience and learn and grow in God together.

During our class time together, we will decide as a group what date the students will receive First Communion. We want to find a date that works best for all families.



Email Pastor Shelly ([email protected]) to let us know by February 18 if your child(ren) will be part of First Communion this year.  

Save the Date: Easter Egg Hunt - March 17 at 9:45am

On Sunday, March 17 from 9:45am to 10:45am Faith will be hosting it's annual Easter Egg Hunt!

During this time, kids and their families will meet to search for some eggs outside and then have some time to play games and do crafts to help us prepare for Easter! We'll start with our Easter Egg Search on the lawn (weather permitting) and then move to Luther Hall for the stations; if it isn't great weather, we'll search for eggs inside.

This is a fun time for families of all ages to get together and prepare for the Resurrection!

To help with the event, please consider donating candy or egg stuffers. Bring these items to church by March 6!

Save the Date: Way of the Cross for Families - March 24 at 9:45am

Join us for an interactive exploration of one of the most important & difficult stories of our faith: Jesus’ journey to the cross. All five senses will be engaged as we tell this story in a kid-friendly way for our youngest disciples. Families will leave having experienced Holy Week in a new way, and will take home items to remember the journey. This event will be Sunday, March 24 from 9:45-10:45. We will meet in the sanctuary.

For 3s through 5th grade

$75 for full day / $25 for 3yo & Pre K
