Important Dates for the Year

We have a lot of fun things in store this coming year! Here's a list of our important dates; we'll pass out physical copies at the start of the year. Click the link to get a peak at what's ahead: Save the Date!

3s and 4s Sunday School Opening Time Change - Drop Off in Room 101/102

Our 3s and 4s bring so much to our Sunday School community! To help meet them where they are at, we are going to have a separate opening time for them starting 9/29. Please drop off your children in Room 101/102 (at the end of the hall on the lower level; classroom for our 3s class). During this time we'll pray, learn a song and read the story together.

We also have new names for these classes! Our "3s" class will be our "Little Lambs" class and our "4s" class will be our "Stars" class - our hope is that renaming them will alleviate any confusion for our children if they have a birthday over the course of the year.

Oct. 6 - Parent Forum

Parent Forum meets again on October 6. This is a time to get to know other parents in your church community and receive support and spiritual nourishment! We gather in the library during Sunday School, and childcare is provided in the nursery for children under age 3. Come grab treats and chat anytime after 9:45; we get started at 10:00a. 

Oct. 6 - Acolyte Training for 5-8th Graders during the Education Hour

Acoyliting is a special way for our 5th - 8th graders to provide leadership during worship. We'll be having an Acolyte training for these students on Sunday, October 6 during the education hour. We'd love to see your students there to learn more about what it is and what it entails! Pastor Shelly will reach out with more information.

Oct. 27 - Trunk or Treat - 4 to 5p

On Sunday, October 27 from 4 to 5pm on the front lawn (or in Luther Hall if it rains), Faith will be hosting it's annual Trunk or Treat event!

People are invited to bring their cars, open up their trunks and give out candy or host a game. Trunks can be decorated or simply be used to hold a bucket of candy!! There's no need to go over the top, but if you are passionate about Halloween all decorations are welcome. :)

Kids of all ages are then invited to come in their costumes to go "trunk or treating", collecting candy from cars, playing games in trunks, and participating in other stations. There will be games, snacks, face painting, bobbing for donuts and so much more! Families are invited to come together to participate.

This event is open to everyone, including the community! Bring a friend! All are welcome - whether you come decked out ready for Halloween, or on a whim not as prepared as you'd like, join us for a time of fellowship, excitement, candy and fun! Come as you are.

Nov. 3 - Studio 56 Service Project with the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry

On November 3, we'll be doing a Service Project with FLY, Confirmation and Studio 56! We'll be hanging donation flyers for the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry around the neighborhood. Come prepared to be outside!
