Sept. 8 - First day of Education Activities begin!

For 4th graders and under, children will meet on the Kitchen Side of Luther Hall (lower level) for big group time. From there, children will head into their small group time. Children who are in 2nd grade and under need to be signed out of their classrooms at the end of our time together.

Our 5th and 6th graders meet in their classroom to start - they'll be meeting in Room 107.

Sunday School Curriculum: Taste and See

During our Sunday School time, children will explore the Bible stories that we talk about in the lectionary, the readings that we hear during worship. Our hope is that students can connect what they learn about in worship with what they're learning about in Sunday School.

The theme for the fall that we'll be looking at is "Taste and See". We'll connect with Psalm 34:8 and think about how we can experience God with all our senses.

Sept. 8 - Children's Chapel at 8:30a Worship Begins

New children’s ministry offering! This year during 8:30 worship, children ages 3-7 will be invited to the chapel for a Godly Play story during the scripture readings and adult sermon. Children’s Chapel is an extension of worship especially designed for young children. Godly Play is a sensorimotor style of storytelling that uses tactile materials and wondering questions. It draws children into one of God’s stories and invites them to experience God with their senses, curiosity, and spirituality. Godly Play begins Sunday September 8. Sept. 8 - New Small Group for Parents

In life’s constant demands, it can be hard to find the connection and community we need to sustain us. Once a month on Sundays during Education Hour, Faith’s new Parent Group will offer a space to connect with other parents in your church community and receive spiritual nourishment for this season of life. Childcare is provided for children under age 3. Join us for our first gathering in the Library!

Meet Parvine, our part-time Children, Youth & Family Ministry Assistant!

Parvine Itangishaka grew up going to Faith and participating in various Children, Youth and Family Ministry activities! She will be helping lead activities on Sunday mornings and helping behind the scenes during the week. Parvine will be working 8-10 hours a week at Faith alongside her full-time job at a Foster Care Home for boys. She enjoys singing, hearing people's stories, reading, exploring and growing in her faith. She looks forward to working alongside and growing with our family in Faith!

Sept. 4 - Joyful Noise Starts

Joyful Noise is Faith's Children's Choir and Mid-Week programming!

During this time, students in Kindergarten through 6th grade meet to do crafts, sing songs, learn more about God, make friends, and even put together a musical for the end of the year.

Joyful Noise meets on Wednesdays from 4:45 - 6pm at Faith. Joyful Noise will begin on September 4. Here's the link for Joyful Noise's Registration form: Joyful Noise Form.

Sept. 22 - Adult Forum - Last Summer's Service & Mission Trips Forum

Every summer our Confirmation (middle school) and FLY (high school) students go on two mission and service trips in different places. Join us during the education hour to hear about our students' experience this past summer in Milwaukee, WI and ELCA Youth Gathering in New Orleans, LA! It's also a great way to learn more about the opportunities your children will have when they are in middle and high school!
