April Devotional: Following Jesus This Lent

Lent is a season to slow down, reflect, and draw closer to God. Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12)

As we prepare for Easter, let’s ask ourselves: How can I walk with Jesus today? Maybe it’s through a kind word, a prayer, or helping someone in need. Every small act of love brings us closer to Him.

Reflection Questions:

🌿 How can I grow closer to God this week?

🌿 How can I share Jesus’ love with others?

May this season fill your heart with hope and renewal!

Children and Youth Events

PALM SUNDAY—

APRIL 13TH-ONE SERVICE AT 9:30 AM

We will gather to process around the church across the street at HJ's on the front lawn. If your child is attending Sunday school, please sign them in upon arrival.

Once we have finished the procession, there will be an adult leader with a Sunday school sign waiting in the back of the Narthex.

We hope to see you there!

EASTER EGG HUNT—

APRIL 20TH-AFTER THE 10:15 AM

Meet us on the West Lawn

(Exit through the Narthex Doors) for family fun, conversation, and Easter Egg Hunt!

OUR GROWING 3-YEAR-OLDS

Each week, your 3-year-old can join the preschool-1st grade class for the first half of the lesson! This gives them a chance to transition from the nursery, interact with older kids, and get a sneak peek at their future class. After songs and a short lesson, they’ll return to the nursery for pick-up.

Outreach Opportunity:

Help Support the Haiti Organization!

We are partnering with the Haiti Organization and need youth and families to help at their upcoming event on May 4th.

Below are the areas where we need volunteers:

Parking & Fund Collection (4 individuals) – All funds raised will support both the Youth Ministry and the Haiti Foundation.
Cooking – Help prepare food for the event.
Dessert Preparation – Bake or bring cupcakes, brownies, cookies, etc.
Serving – Assist with food service during the event.
