Children & Youth Sunday

Sunday, April 21

Join us for our Spring Children & Youth Sunday, where we spotlight our young people at St. Mike's. Here's what we have going on this time around!

Guest Preacher:

Delivering the sermon at both the 8:00 & 10:30 services will be senior, Allie Holcombe! Thanks Allie!

Sunday Forum:

From 9:15 - 10:10 AM, children, youth, and people of all ages are invited to gather in the sanctuary for a Sunday Forum titled "Stories that Sustain." You will get to hear stories from various members of the community from children & youth ministry experiences, adventures, and programs!

Music:

We had a great turnout at our Children & Youth Music Interest Session on 3/24. If you did not get a chance to attend, but would like to share your musical gifts, please email Amalia with your child's name, age, and musical instrument (or voice!)

Worship Roles:

Once again, we would love for our young people to serve in all of the worship volunteer roles, from acolyte, to usher, to coffee hour host! CLICK HERE to sign up!

Summer Trip Support

New Mexico Service Trip & Utah Pilgrimage

This Summer, 9 of our St. Michael's middle & high schoolers will be joining up with peers from the diocese to embark on adventures that will cross state lines.

Our first trip will take us to New Mexico for a week of service. This trip will expose our young people to a variety of different needs and injustices in our world while giving them meaningful opportunities to make a difference, and to bring that back into their lives here in Colorado Springs.

Our second trip will take us to Utah for a pilgrimage. This trip will focus around spiritual growth, exploration, and deepening as our high schoolers learn more about creation through experience, adventure, and community. This trip will challenge our high schoolers to think in new ways about how God is calling each of them in their lives, beyond the scope of just this week.

We need your help in ensuring that these trips are financially accessible for all of our participants. CLICK HERE to donate online. Choose the "Youth" dropdown and put "Summer Trip Support" in the note!

Each donation of $50 or more will come with a "flat pilgrim" (pictured above) that will allow you to "join" us on our adventures! We will take pictures with you, send you email updates, and bring you along on our adventures with us in spirit! Thank you for your generosity!
