Praying for Children of Hope
Thank you for being a prayer warrior on behalf of our children and staff.
We believe in the power of prayer!

Our goal is to have all of the children and staff covered in prayer twice throughout the year. Each week this email highlights a different group from our homes so you can get to know them and see their faces. Please join us in praying for them by name. We have also included some special requests at the bottom that are
current for our ministry.

Please pray for the children listed below in our Kikuyu and Kitalale homes in the following ways:
  • Pray for their spiritual growth and that the seeds planted in their hearts by the Word of God will grow and flourish
  • Pray for good physical health and growth as well as protection from disease/sickness
  • Pray for determination and a strong work ethic in school
  • Pray for healthy emotional growth, increased self confidence and healing from any past traumas

Please pray for the staff listed below in the following ways:
  • Pray for wisdom as they make decisions on behalf of the children and the ministry
  • Pray for physical and spiritual protection for them and their families
  • Pray for a strong connection of love and care between the Kenyan staff and the children

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

Special Requests

  • Pray for our children who are grown and transitioned out of the home. A few have had their jobs impacted by the national shutdown due to the virus.
  • In November the 8th grade students sit for their standardized testing on their past 8 years of schooling. The 12th grade are tested on the last 4 years of schooling. In Kenya these are significant milestones and stressful times for students as their performance on these test determines their next steps in schooling. At this point it’s unknown whether the testing will happen. If it does happen, many of our students are feeling fearful that they won’t be prepared.
Our 8th grade students are:
  • Peter, Grace, & Kamau from our Kikuyu Home
  • Zakyo, Joshua, Blessing, Lavenda, Viola, & Faith from our Kitalale Home
Our 12th grade students are:
  • Dennis Maina, Dennis Mwangi & Margaret from our Kikuyu Home.

  • Please pray for our staff as they try to be creative with keeping our kids happy, secure and active during this unique time.
  • Pray for a hedge of protection around our children and staff as they stay safe from the COVID-19 virus. Many of them are immune compromised and would be greatly affected if they contract COVID-19.
