Stewardship at St. Andrew’s
For most families, 2020 has been a year of uncertainty. Since March, so much of our daily life has changed and continues to change. We’ve taught our kids how to be flexible and found new ways to spend time together. In some respect, a simpler way of life has returned. Suddenly, our schedules weren’t so busy and we weren’t racing from one activity to another. Family meals returned. Conversations and long walks became part of our regular routine. We were presented with the gift of time.
At St. Andrew’s, we’ve found new ways to be the church. Online Sunday school, virtual VBS and a drive through Back-to-School blessing are just some of the ways Children’s Ministry has strived to stay connected to you. Our families and children are an extension of our church family. We are grateful for you and look forward to the day we can all be together, in person, again.
In the coming weeks, St. Andrew’s will kick-off its stewardship campaign for 2021. Many of our parishioners will share their stories of how they’ve found hope in 2020. We encourage you to read those stories together, as a family, and share your own stories with one another. Talk about ways that your family can contribute to St. Andrew’s in 2021 and why it is important. Involve your children in the discussion, sometimes they offer a new perspective and a great deal of hope.
As we look ahead to 2021, we are reminded that the one thing that has not changed is that God’s great mercy has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. (1 Peter 1:3) Thanks be to God!
