2026 Kids Are Worth It Conference

On September 15th and 16th, Children's Advocacy Center of the Bluegrass joined with several other organizations throughout Kentucky for the 2026 Kids Are Worth It Conference, presented by Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky.

It was a wonderful opportunity for CAC staff to gain new insights and knowledge about providing trauma-informed care to children and families. We were fortunate to have CAC of the Bluegrass Pediatrician and Medical Clinic Director, Dr. Jacqueline Sugarman, lead a presentation titled, "Children's Advocacy Center Medical Examinations for Sexual Abuse: What Investigators Need to Know."

Our staff also enjoyed the fun surprise of running into longtime supporter of CAC of the Bluegrass, Governor Andy Beshear!

Thank you to Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky for hosting such an informative and impactful conference!

CAC of the Bluegrass Presents in Scott County

The Network for Homeless and Housing Solutions is a monthly meeting in Georgetown that gathers individuals from nonprofits, human services, and businesses to help address gaps in services for those living in poverty in Scott County. CAC of the Bluegrass was honored to present at September's meeting, where we were able to provide an overview of Center services, explain our referral process, and collaborate with other service providers about how we can better serve children affected by sexual abuse.

We always love the opportunity to connect with individuals passionate about making our communities better. Thank you for having us!
