A Successful Holiday Open House!

On December 5th, we were thrilled to host over 100 community partners and supporters at our annual Holiday Open House. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to provide a closer look at the services we offer, and to say thank you to all of those who help us serve over 1,000 children and families in crisis each year.

Thank you to Junkluggers + Remix Market for generously donating such beautiful holiday decorations, and helping make our Center festive and cheerful!

Our Community Gives Back!

CAC of the Bluegrass staff is feeling grateful for our community this holiday season! We have had several organizations, businesses, and individuals reach out asking how they can support children and families in Central Kentucky.

This month, CAC of the Bluegrass was presented with a donation from the Women in Business group within the Georgetown/Scott County Chamber of Commerce. We were fortunate to be chosen as a nonprofit partner for the year, and appreciate their support throughout the year!

We are also proud to be the nonprofit partner for Remix Market + Junkluggers. Remix Market is a furniture and home décor resale store, with an ever-changing inventory of vintage pieces, estate treasures, and gently used furnishings. Every time you shop, a portion of your sale goes towards our organization. Max, Raygen, Chris, and Maya stopped by this week with a donation!

Kentucky Employers' Mutual Insurance also presented CAC of the Bluegrass with a donation that will go towards our core services for children and families. We are grateful for their support.

MDT Lunch & Learn

CAC of the Bluegrass hosted another successful Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) Lunch & Learn on November 22nd thanks to grant support from the Kentucky Bar Foundation.

Lead Forensic Interviewer and Training Coordinator Lindsey Burns provided over twenty community partners with information on the Children's Advocacy Center of the Bluegrass and the importance of the MDT when investigating and treating child sexual abuse cases. It is our hope that these trainings can help foster strong and collaborative MDTs throughout our service region!

Thank you to all of the social workers, detectives, advocates, mental health specialists, and more that attended!
