National Forensic Interviewer Week:

July 7th - July 13th

The work of the Children's Advocacy Center of the Bluegrass is not possible without our amazing forensic interviewers - Michelle, Lindsey, Betty, and Carly!

This month we celebrated National Forensic Interviewer Week; a nationwide recognition of the important role that forensic interviewers play in keeping children safe following allegations of abuse.

Forensic Interviewers are neutral professionals who are trained to talk to children about what they experienced. They create an environment for children to share their story, in their own words, and be listened to with respect.

We are so lucky to have such amazing forensic interviewers on the CAC of the Bluegrass team!

Stuffed Animals for the Center!

At the Children's Advocacy Center of the Bluegrass, we strive to be a child-friendly, and nurturing place where children can leave feeling better about the future.

One way we do this is by providing children with a stuffed animal to have with them during their appointment and beyond. We go through several stuffed animals, and this month we had some individuals stop by with huge donations!

Thank you for helping us serve kids throughout Central Kentucky!
