WHAT A NIGHT!!!

On Friday, we were joined by over 400 people at our annual gala "An Evening For the Children's Advocacy Center of the Bluegrass". This year's event celebrated our 30th anniversary of service to the Central Kentucky community and featured powerful remarks from founding and current board member and former Fayette Commonwealth's Attorney Lou Anna Red Corn. The program included our emcee and Executive Director Winn Stephens, the incredible auctioneer team from Keeneland, and the always entertaining party band Superfecta.

This year's gala raised a record-smashing $298,318 to support our life-changing services for child survivors of sexual abuse and their non-offending caregivers! We are blown away by the incredible support of our community!

IN THE COMMUNITY

The Emergency Nurses Association organized a donation drive for Kristin's Closet, our emergency resource room! The ENA dropped off hundreds of diapers for children and families who come to the Center in need. Interested in a donation drive for Kristin's Closet? Email Emily at Emily@KYKids.org.

We had an amazing turnout for our first Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) Lunch & Learn! Thanks to funding from the Kentucky Bar Foundation, we will be providing quarterly trainings on the MDT model, and its importance in the investigation, treatment, and prosecution of child abuse cases.

An incredibly diverse group of over 20 law enforcement officers, social workers, advocates, school personnel, prosecutors, and more joined us for the initial training!
