New Therapy Resource Library

With support from the Honorable Order of the Kentucky Colonels, CAC of the Bluegrass was able to expand upon our therapy services with the opening of a new Therapy Resource Library. This space is designed to be a relaxing and calming area where children can read books and watch videos that are applicable to some of the experiences they may currently be facing.

The children seen within our therapy program have experienced some of the most serious forms of abuse, and going through therapy can be a very challenging and scary thing for them to do. By having a warm and inviting space that holds books or videos where characters are facing some of the same feelings or experiences as them can bring comfort, hope, and a better understanding of what they are going through.

Thank you Kentucky Colonels for making this possible!

Thank you Christ the King School!

On September 28th, students from Christ the King School came by our Center to help clean toys in our waiting rooms, and organize donations in Kristin's Closet. We strive to have a space that is welcoming and comfortable for the children and families we serve, and we appreciate volunteers who help us keep our space as inviting and family-friendly as possible.

Mark your calendars!

You're invited to join our staff, board, community partners, and supporters on Thursday, December 7th for our Holiday Open House! Stop by any time between 5:30 and 7:30 PM. Hors d'oeuvres, beer, and wine to be served.

Email Taylor Ballinger at taylor@kykids.org to RSVP. We hope to see you there!
