WHAT A WEEK!

Between our record-breaking annual gala and being recognized as the 2023 Non-Profit Community Impact Award winner, CAC of the Bluegrass had an incredible end to the month of August! Check out photos and details below!

2023 Commerce Lexington Non-Profit Community Impact Award

CAC of the Bluegrass Staff and Board Members at the 2023 Salute to

Small Business Awards Luncheon

On Friday, August 18th, CAC of the Bluegrass was honored with the Non-Profit Community Impact Award at the 2023 Commerce Lexington Salute to Small Business Awards Luncheon. This annual award is given to organizations in the community with a commitment to making Lexington a better, safer, and healthier place to live. Mayor Linda Gorton was on hand to proclaim August 18th, 2023 "Children's Advocacy Center of the Bluegrass Day", and several CAC staff members and board members were present to join in the celebration. CAC of the Bluegrass is honored to be this year's non-profit award recipient, as it is recognition of the incredible work the Center's staff does each day on behalf of child survivors of sexual abuse. Thank you Commerce Lexington and the Lexington community for recognizing CAC of the Bluegrass!

A Record-Breaking Evening For The Children's Advocacy Center of the Bluegrass!

Featuring powerful remarks from Joelle Hirst, BSN, SANE-A, music from Superfecta, and a HUGE crowd of supporters, the CAC of the Bluegrass's annual gala, "An Evening For the Children's Advocacy Center" presented by Doctors Wahle and Chalothorn Orthodontics was an incredible success!

The event, held Friday, August 25th at Keeneland, smashed previous attendance and fundraising records, with over 425 guests on hand combining to raise over $255,000 to support the life-changing work of the Children's Advocacy Center of the Bluegrass!

The CAC of the Bluegrass team is overwhelmed by the many sponsors, partners, and community members who attended with one goal in mind: supporting child survivors of sexual abuse and putting them on a path to healing and hope following their abuse. Our work is not possible without the support of our community, and every single individual who attended in person or supported from afar is part of a network of people committed to ending the scourge of child sexual abuse and providing child survivors the resources they need to be the happy, healthy kids they were meant to be. THANK YOU for being champions for children, and we cannot wait to see you again next year!
