Lunch and Learn at Gray

On September 3rd, Children's Advocacy Center of the Bluegrass presented at a Lunch & Learn at Gray, Inc., sponsored by Gray's Groundbreaking Women.

Lead Forensic Interviewer and Training Coordinator, Lindsey Burns, was able to speak with Gray team members joining both in-person and virtually about Children's Advocacy Center services, body safety, and internet safety for kids and teens. Talking to your kids about how they keep their bodies safe is important, and can help prevent future harm - to learn more, visit www.kykids.org/resources.

We are grateful to be able to have these important conversations with our community. Thank you for having us, Gray!

Welcome, Olivia!

The Children's Advocacy Center of the Bluegrass always welcomes the chance to provide learning opportunities for students interested in social work, nonprofits, and more!

We are so excited to have Olivia Verdecchia joining the team as our Student Intern! Olivia will be with us during the fall and spring semesters, where she will be shadowing different departments and helping us provide critical services to children and families across Central Kentucky. She is currently working toward her Masters in Social Work at Northern Kentucky University.

Help us welcome Olivia to the team!

Community Partnerships: Bikers Against Child Abuse

Our organization is only as strong as our partnerships with local organizations doing the important work of serving child survivors of abuse. We were fortunate to be able to host members of the Rolling Hills Chapter of Bikers Against Child Abuse (B.A.C.A.) this month.

B.A.C.A. believes that no child deserves to live in fear, and they use the community of biking to help empower children affected by abuse to not feel afraid of the world in which they live. They are doing incredible work, and we are fortunate to have them as such a valuable resource for the children we serve! To learn more about B.A.C.A., visit: www.bacaworld.org.
