A Successful Holiday Open House!

On December 7th, we were thrilled to host over 100 community partners and supporters at our Annual Holiday Open House. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to provide a closer look at the services we offer, and to say thank you to all of those who have helped us serve over children and families in crisis each year.

Thank you to Hillenmeyer Christmas Shop for providing such beautiful holiday decorations, and helping make our Center festive and cheerful!

CAC of the Bluegrass Gives Back

CAC of the Bluegrass staff continued our quarterly commitment to supporting a nonprofit in our community by partnering with Operation Making a Change (OMAC) this holiday season! We were able to provide Raising Cane's gift cards to be put in the holiday stockings of some of the children that they mentor.

OMAC provides mentorship, coaching, and support to children and teens in Fayette County Public Schools. They focus on violence prevention/ intervention and the cultivation of positive relationships. We encourage you to learn more about the amazing work they do in our community by visiting their website found here.

If you are part of a local organization doing good work in the community and have interest in CAC of the Bluegrass staff volunteers or support, please contact Emily Metcalfe at Emily@KYKids.org. We’d love to serve you!

Winter Break means gatherings with extended family and acquaintances. It may also include time at home on internet-connected devices. To help keep your kids safe, converse with them about body and internet safety. While these can be uncomfortable conversations, knowing about body safety can prevent abuse and encourage kids to speak up if they feel unsafe. To report suspected abuse call the Child Abuse Hotline any time at 877-597-2331.
