CAC of the Bluegrass's annual "Pinwheels for Prevention" planting

will be April 17th at 10 AM at our Center.

Join Us on April 17th!

The Center's annual "Pinwheels for Prevention" Pinwheel Planting, in honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month, is coming up. Mark your calendars for April 17th at 10 AM here at our Center. Joining with our partner agencies and local community and business leaders, we will plant 1,000 pinwheels, one for every child our Center will serve in 2023. Coffee and donuts will be served, and we will have remarks from Mayor Linda Gorton and other esteemed guests. The Center will be open for tours following the planting.

The pinwheel is the national symbol for child abuse prevention, as the pinwheel connotes playfulness, joy, and childhood, and is a physical representation of the great childhoods we want for all children in the communities we serve.

You will also have the opportunity to donate to our "Virtual Pinwheel Garden" in honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month. Between April 1st and April 30th, donors will be able to plant a "virtual pinwheel". Details to follow, so be on the lookout for that opportunity!

If you are interested in learning more about our pinwheel planting, contact Taylor Ballinger at taylor@kykids.org. Thank you to Republic Bank for sponsoring this event!
