August 20 Will Be Here Before We Know It!

Back to school already? While August 9 marks the first day of school for many students and families, counselors, teachers and administrators are already working on getting classrooms and lessons ready for the new school year. The hustle and bustle has officially begun, school supplies are being purchased and schedules are being sorted. This marks senior year for our youngest so we are preparing ourselves for a year of emotions in our family. We are hopeful that she will be able to experience typical senior year traditions this year, but I guess the one thing we have all learned this last 18 months is that being adaptable, fluid and creative is the name of the game.

We are looking forward to our annual fundraising event, the Art of Childhood which will take place August 20 at Rancharrah. If you are not attending the event in person, you can still support The Children's Cabinet during our auction which will be available online starting August 16. Visit www.artofchildhood.org to stay up to date on all details for the event.

At the event, we are looking forward to honoring Stephanie Kruse with the Dixie May Philanthropy Award for the amazing support Stephanie has provided to not only The Children's Cabinet, but also to our entire community. Stephanie is a leader that is constantly giving back and we are thrilled to be able to recognize what she has done, and what she continues to do.

If you have not visited our website recently, we would love for you to take a few minutes to browse our information which includes details on many programs, an events and classes calendar and ways to get involved. How about Children's Cabinet social media? We post new information daily, check us out and follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or LinkedIn. Thank you for your continued support!
