Holiday Giving at Children's Cove
We started off the holiday season here at Children's Cove, in the spirit of giving. The Family Advocacy program at Children's Cove, is utilized to walk each family that we serve through any and all processes that they have to go through and to address all of the needs of the family.  Throughout the year, we were able to put together a list of families (children that we've served and their siblings) who had a primary need of coats for the chilling winter months. Through the Knights of Columbus, and a few private donors, we were able to provide new winter coats for 7 families (which included a total of 22 children and teenagers).

Additionally, through our gracious partners at Toys for Tots, The Mass Maritime Athletics Department, Yarmouth Rotary Club and private contributions, we were able to distribute gifts to over 20 families (which included over 65 children and teenagers that we've served directly and their siblings). These families described through phone calls and in person when they came to pick their gifts up, the amazing feeling that it was to have gifts for their children; gifts above and beyond what they could have imagined before having Children's Cove as a resource. We hope you see the importance of the work that we do, the comprehensiveness of our services, and the impact that we can truly make on the children and families that we serve.

TIPNet Newsletter
Beginning in February, Children's Cove will be releasing a newsletter for the Cape and Island's Trauma Informed Provider Network (TIPNet). Organized by Cherie Stulsky, Children's Cove's Mental Health Coordinator, TIPNet is made up of a group of providers that offer evidenced based, trauma informed, services to children and families on Cape Cod and the Islands. This is a group of professionals who have completed trainings in a range of evidenced based practice and are committed to offering high quality services to those in our community.

TipNet Connection is an exciting new addition and resource to the TIPNet team. These newsletters will be released quarterly, clinically focused with links to articles, upcoming events (both sponsored by Children's Cove and others in the community) and will include a spotlight section on a clinician and/or agency so we can get to know each other. We are looking forward to sharing news from the world of trauma informed therapy for the Cape and the Islands. To sign up for this newsletter, contact Cherie Stulsky directly at [email protected]
