Hello Everyone!   REMINDER -- There will be NO STORY TIMES on Friday, November 23. Also, please be aware of our Inclement Weather Policy... when the Library is closed due to the weather, ALL scheduled programs are cancelled as well. The Library reports its weather closings on Operation Snowball and also usually posts a message on our website at www.provlib.org . Looking ahead, the last day of our current story time schedule will be December 21. We'll resume January 8. Finally, please note our recently updated Library Hours : Monday 12:30 - 8:30 pm, Tuesday & Thursday 9:30 am - 5:30 pm, Wednesday 9:30 am - 8:30 pm, Friday 9:30 am - 2 pm, Saturday 9:30 am - 2:30 pm, Sunday CLOSED (with Family Learning Sundays held at Grace Episcopal Church)

FAMILY LEARNING SUNDAYS ARE BACK!      We are well into our 2018-19 schedule of Family Learning Sunday....which run on the first Sunday of each month through May. These interactive workshops are free and for children ages 5 - 10 and their families. During our renovation, this year's programs will be held at the Grace Episcopal Church Pavillion , 300 Westminster Street. Call 455-8025 or email [email protected] to register or with questions. FAMILY LEARNING SUNDAY PROGRAM        Origami with Rod Nice & Button Making! FOR YOUNG CHILDREN & FAMILIES Baby Steps: Story Time for Infants Tuesdays & Fridays*, 11:30 am - 12:00 pm   (for ages Birth to 18 months)  Stories, songs, rhythm and rhyme all designed for you and your wee-one. Cradle to Crayons   Register for a Tuesday OR Friday* session   (for ages 1 to 3 years old)  Tuesday Session 1: 9:30 - 10:30 am  Tuesday Session 2: 10:30 - 11:30 am  Friday* Session 1: 9:30 am  Friday* Session 2: 10:30 am  Combining time for play and socialization with a story time that includes movement, songs, finger plays and wonderful children's literature. Current sessions will end on December 21 and we will resume on January 8, 2019. PLEASE NOTE:  Please access all sessions through the CHAPEL STREET door. If you are in front of the church at 300 Westminster Street, proceed to the rear of the building by going around the corner to the rear door on Chapel Street. PPL staff will unlock the door at the start of each session so please be on time. All sessions are held on the 2nd floor and strollers must be left on the ground  level.  These sessions are not handicapped accessible.

YOUTH PROGRAMS      PPL's PVD Young Makers space is at RIMOSA during our renovation There will be no PVD Young Makers programming @ RIMOSA on 11/22 and 11/23. RIMOSA and its hands-on exhibits will be open regular hours on 11/23. Seiji Wear & Gear Thursdays, 3 - 5 pm Learn the ways of the sage, Seiji, FabNewport’s mastermind maker and Chief Technologist. Learn how to design and fabricate clothing, accessories, and more. Brand, market, and sell your creations. Machines available: laser cutter, vinyl cutter, 3D printer. *Registration required.  Email [email protected] to register. (For high school students.) Open Studio & Training Fridays, 1 - 5 pm What is a makerspace and how can we use maker-centered thinking to transform our lives? Get coached up on cutting edge tools and technologies.
