Hello families!
Sorry for the late email, I got hacked this week as many of you may know! If you received an email from me with an attachment, delete it.
Our youngest Saints got together (with their parents:) ) last Saturday and had a playdate at the church. Even the rain couldn't keep us away, but we did move inside for singing, playing and getting to know each other. It was unanimous that we should do this every month, so here is what I propose:
-Saturdays from 3:00-4:00 seems to be the sweet spot, so let's keep that time.
-The Playground at church is great because we can move inside if needed and we have easy access to bathrooms.
-I brought snacks last time for adults and kids - kids ate like crazy, adults were too busy talking to each other. Do we want to just bring snacks for kids? Bring something if you want to, but don't worry about it if you don't?
Let me know by email what your vote is. I can always have water and graham crackers for sure!
What I loved about it was that no one was hurried (like when we are rushing to get to church). We had time to actually have meaningful conversations and let the kids just play. This could easily evolve into dinner dates, Foyer groups w/ kids, doing service projects together, and relationships that will grow as your children grow.
If you have kids in the Nursery and missed this outing, watch for our next date towards the end of October. And if you are in your 20's and 30's, you are also invited to a brunch for Young Adults this Sunday in the courtyard from 12:30-2:30. We will have childcare available , but you will need to bring them a lunch.
Sign up Here today and make a note if you will use the child care.
Also for parents of older kids, I've been hearing about your technology woes. Here are a couple of good articles I just read. And hang in there! We need to support each other, so come to Parenting with God in Octiober. Tell you parennts about Grandparenting with God this Sunday during the formation hour - see below.
