Confirmation and last Formation class

Dear Families,

Thank You!!

Thank you for getting your children to Nursery, Children's Church, Formation, Choir, special events, nursery playdates and Holy days.

Thank you for volunteering to teach, help with Children's Church, lead discussions in Parenting with God, write notes to kids, help with service projects, organize closets and tidy rooms.

Thanks for conversations, prayers, laughter, and fellowship.

This Children's Ministry can not happen without each one of you and I am so very grateful for your partnership in walking alongside these young saints on their faith formation journey.

This Sunday, we will wrap up our Program year by eating ice cream and celebrating:

Our 5th and 3rd graders at the Moving Up Ceremony in church and

Our Volunteers, anyone that has helped in any way to make the life of this community happen (make sure to stand up in church to be recognized).

Teachers please find me by the ice cream table to receive a small token of our appreciation for sharing your time, talent, and presence with our kids. We will grab a picture in the courtyard too.

Pentecost Sunday (May 24) and VBS (June1-5) coming up!

Peace,

Kathy

VBS is one of the best week of the year for kids attending and teens who are leading. So much good stuff happens when we have more time to dive deeper into the stories and explore them through multiple learning styles. It is also one of the few times that young kids spend a lot of time with teens at their church. They get to know them, they look up to them and then when they see them acolyting or reading, they want to be like them.

Sign up now for your kids

and if you can volunteer for a day or two or the whole week, we need you! Grandparents are welcome too! Email me at Kathy Roberts with days you can help - we need teachers, teachers helpers, snack preparers, check in desk, design/decorate the Sunday before, clean up on the Friday at end of week.

Please find the link below to sign your child up for VBS and if needed, Aftercare.

These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

Parenting with God

Sunday, May 17

10:20, Rm 305, Ellis Hall

This Sunday, we will be celebrating the end of the Program year, our 5th and 3rd graders who are moving up, and anyone who has volunteered during the year with Ice Cream Sundaes in the courtyard at 10:20. Come join us there to celebrate together.

Below is an interview with Michelle Icard, author of Middle School Makeover (2014), Fourteen Talks by Age Fourteen (2021), and 8 Setbacks That Can Make a Child a Success (2023), with guidance on how faith, connection, and conversation can shape the spiritual and emotional wellbeing of our families.

Enjoy!

We will take a break for the summer, but you all are always welcome to gather and chat. We will pick back up in September.

Moving Up Celebration for 3rd and 5th Graders

Sunday, May 17, 9:00am service

We will bless the 3rd graders as they move into Club 45 next Fall with a new Bible and the 5th graders as they move from Children's Ministries up to the Youth Ministries with a Faith Survival Kit and a wall cross. Let me know if you 3rd or 5th grader will be there. We will then celebrate the end of the program year with All the Saints in the courtyard with ice cream and toppings.

If you haven't RSVP'd yet, please send me an email so we can make sure to have your gift ready.
