Dear Families,

What a beautiful weekend we had at Kanuga! If you weren't able to make it this year, we hope you will plan on it next year.

This Sunday, K-5th grades will be tending their Pop-Up Love Shop for folks going to the Pride Parade. We have spent a month making "gifts of love" to hand to folks - not for money, not even for a 'Thank You'. We have been learning about God's love that is freely given, no strings attached and certainly not earned! And how God wants us to do the same to our siblings in Christ.

You are loved just as you are right now - not when you get it all together (cause when is that?!), not when the world says you deserve it. By God's grace and mercy and LOVE, we are 'precious in God's sight' today and always. ALL of US. Every last one. So how could we EVER think someone is not included in that blessing?

Come by and help us spread the love!

Peace ,

Kathy

Pop-Up Love Shop

PRIDE Parade

Sunday, Oct. 12

10:30-11:10, meet in front of church

This Sunday we will get to give away all the love the kids have made over the last month in our Pop-Up Love Shop before the Pride Parade. We have talked about how God loves us just the way we are and God calls us to do the same - to love ALL God's Children in the world. Especially those who are pushed to the margins, discriminated against, left out, disparaged, and worse. God takes pride in all God's children! We will stand up and shine that light of love to the city. If you want to walk in the parade with us, we will leave after the 11:15 service is over.

Pet Blessing at New Realm Brewery

October 18, 11 am to 1 pm

We are joining our partners at VCA Pets are People Too (a local vet), Lifeline Animal Project (pet adoption), and New Realm Brewery to celebrate God’s creation with our neighbors on the beltline. Bring your family, friends, and pets, and enjoy a great lunch on the patio. We had a blast meeting folks and their pets last year. We need folks to volunteer to meet and greet and set up/take down things, so email me if you are able to come. Kathy Roberts

Trunk or Treat

More info to come.
