Pics from our Little Saints playdate last Saturday - even our youngest saint of 2 weeks!

Hello families!

Sorry for the late email, I got hacked this week as many of you may know! If you received an email from me with an attachment, delete it.

Our youngest Saints got together (with their parents:) ) last Saturday and had a playdate at the church. Even the rain couldn't keep us away, but we did move inside for singing, playing and getting to know each other. It was unanimous that we should do this every month, so here is what I propose:

-Saturdays from 3:00-4:00 seems to be the sweet spot, so let's keep that time.

-The Playground at church is great because we can move inside if needed and we have easy access to bathrooms.

-I brought snacks last time for adults and kids - kids ate like crazy, adults were too busy talking to each other. Do we want to just bring snacks for kids? Bring something if you want to, but don't worry about it if you don't?

Let me know by email what your vote is. I can always have water and graham crackers for sure!

What I loved about it was that no one was hurried (like when we are rushing to get to church). We had time to actually have meaningful conversations and let the kids just play. This could easily evolve into dinner dates, Foyer groups w/ kids, doing service projects together, and relationships that will grow as your children grow.

If you have kids in the Nursery and missed this outing, watch for our next date towards the end of October. And if you are in your 20's and 30's, you are also invited to a brunch for Young Adults this Sunday in the courtyard from 12:30-2:30. We will have childcare available , but you will need to bring them a lunch.

Sign up Here today and make a note if you will use the child care.

Also for parents of older kids, I've been hearing about your technology woes. Here are a couple of good articles I just read. And hang in there! We need to support each other, so come to Parenting with God in Octiober. Tell you parennts about Grandparenting with God this Sunday during the formation hour - see below.

Join us in Piedmont Park as we Bless the Animals of the city! Bring a friend, colleague, or neighbor to an easily accessible Pet Blessing and to see how we love all creatures as God loves us. This is a great opportunity for you to share your faith with others.

*Note that we will still be blessing the animals at church on Sunday too*

Last Sunday, K-1 and 2nd-3rd continued hearing about Moses while Club 45 learned about Creation and then created their own video about their own creations. You can see it Here

We will have a zoom link that you can get to through our Friday E-News or email me Here

Children's Church

Helpers Needed

Children's Church is one of the greatest gifts I receive each week. Walking beside these young Saints as they grow, question, wonder, and experience their own epiphanies each week helps me to grown in my own faith journey. Their wisdom blows me away sometimes. Their questions help me to question my own understanding of the Word. And the Holy Spirit meets us right where we are each and every time.

With our Safeguarding God's Children protocol, we must have at least 2 adults present at all times with our children. While I am leading the service and Karol is playing the piano, we can not walk a child to the bathroom, help to keep them all engaged, or help with any other needs.

We need each parent to sign up for a couple of Sundays during the year to help out. It would be great if we had two folks on our Second Sundays to help as we move around the altar. Please check your calendar and sign up Here
