Dear All Saints' Parents and Families,
The Poetry of Clothing: In honor of Threads Sunday on March 8, Children’s Ministries will be holding a poetry contest this next week. If your child would like to write a short poem about a special piece of clothing they have, send it to me with a picture of the clothing by March 6. For example, I had a pair of purple Chuck Taylor’s that I wore everywhere. I ended up making them into a planter in my garden!
A Lenten Devotional Available Online

I would like to share with you part of a Lenten email that I signed up for this year. The series is Practicing Courage with All Your Heart, Soul, Strength, and Mind .  If you are interested, you can sign up to receive a short email with a reading and a Making It Personal section for you to ponder and work on the questions for yourself.  Click here to learn more.

Here is an example:

The Purpose of Practice
Reflection By Scott Stoner for February 27, 2020

“…We grow in our ability to do something when we practice it. The truth is not that 'practice makes perfect,' but rather that 'practice makes progress.' Life is always presenting us with more than enough challenges. Our hope for the journey through this season of Lent is that we may see these challenges as opportunities to practice courage and, in the process, to grow stronger, both emotionally and spiritually.

Making It Personal: Have you ever had the experience of growing in your ability to do something through practice? Can you think of a time when, as you were facing some hardship, you discovered a level of courage that you had not previously known? Is there a particular challenge you are facing now that is presenting you with a chance to practice additional courage?

Plan Ahead! The Publix Atlanta Marathon is this Sunday.

Publix will host their annual Atlanta Marathon on Sunday, March 1 and our church is located inside of the race course. If you live outside of the course, we recommend that you take I-85/75 to avoid potential road closures and delays.

Pajama Sunday

On Sunday, March 8 , we will "spring forward" but stay in our pajamas for Children’s Church and Formation – it might make it easier to get to church on time! Wear your PJ’s, robe, slippers and bring a lovey with you. We will have bagels and cream cheese and jelly before 9:00 a.m. when our service starts with a “bedtime story” from the Bible.
Parenting with God Series Begins on March 8

On Sunday, March 8, join fellow parents and me to share and learn no matter where you are on the parenting journey.

Our discussion will continue to be guided by the book, Bless This Mess by the Rev. Molly Baskette and Ellen O’Donnell, PhD. You might want to order a copy if you don't already have one.

Dates : Sundays, March 8, April 19, May 10, and May 17
Time : 10:20—11:05 a.m.
Location : Ross Room, 3rd Floor, Parish House
