Hi families!
I am thrilled to introduce myself as the Director of Children’s Ministry here at Hayes Barton. I want to say a huge thank you to you all – everyone has been so welcoming as I’ve settled into this new role. Being at Hayes Barton truly feels like an answered prayer and I can’t wait to get to know you and your families this year! As we work together to nurture our children on their faith journey, please know my door is always open!
What: All Sunday School Classes, 2yo – 5th grade will meet, with their families, in Casper Holroyd Hall for a chance to reconnect as a church family after a restful summer! We will go over important info for the upcoming Sunday School year, present Bibles, and hold our annual Blessings of the Backpacks. It will be an hour filled with fun, fellowship, and prayers for a wonderful year!
Bring: Your bag for the upcoming school year and lots of enthusiasm!!
Remember, we will be presenting Bibles to our 2 year olds, 3 year olds, Kindergartners, 5th graders, AND anyone who has missed a milestone Bible in the past. Please make sure to register for your Bible by August 16th!
Our Children’s Ministry is blessed to have many opportunities to serve our children and help them grow in their faith! From one-time events like Trunk or Treat, to Sunday School teaching, to support with our nursery, there is something for everyone! If you’re interested in volunteering with our Children's or Youth Ministries this year, join us for our mandatory Volunteer Training on Sunday, August 23 at 2:00pm in the Fellowship Hall. Whether you’ve volunteered before or are considering it for the first time, we’d love to have you. This training will cover upcoming events, Safer Sanctuaries, Sunday School information, and more!
Goodbye KidCheck, Hello Realm!
This year, we are using Realm to check in our children for Nursery and Sunday School. This system is very similar to KidCheck. Once you check your child in, a badge will be printed that will have their name, your phone number, any allergies they might have, and a security code. Please stick this badge on the back of your child's shirt, where it is clearly visible. You will also receive a second badge that has a matching security code that you will show to nursery staff once you pick up your child. There are two ways you can sign your child in...
At the Kiosk: Just like KidCheck, we will have two computers set up for you to type your child's name in and check them in.
In the Realm app: You can also check your child in on your phone! This will generate a QR code that you will scan at the kiosk to get your badges printed. *Please note: Mobile Check-in will be available starting August 30th!*
We highly recommend downloading the Realm app to streamline check-in!

Sunday, September 6th: No Sunday School – Join us at 10:00am for one combined worship service in the Sanctuary.
Wednesday, September 9th: Join us for our first Wednesday Night program of the year!
5:00-6:30: Open Gym + Dinner (must be accompanied by parent)
5:30-6:00: Children's Choir*
6:15: Nursery Care Opens
6:30-7:30:Programming
Sunday, September 13th: First Day of Sunday School!!
