Children's Musical tomorrow!

Join us in the Congregation House at 6:30 for 100% Chance of Rain, the 2018 Children's Spring Musical. It's the finale to a year of Children's Choir programming. We are grateful for Jane Cain, David Brinson, Elizabeth Mills and countless assisting volunteers. We have been blessed in worship with the gift of music, and the children have grown in their faith and singing all year long.

We are THANKFUL! John Ryan, Jenny Alexander, Kaylor Kaemba, Flora Brook, Elizabeth Jackson and subs- Melissa Fawcett, Hattie Kissel and Berri Drozd have led children in this new mid-week class. Linda Griffith and Trish Jones have driven the DCPC Bus to Davidson Elementary School each Wednesday afternoon for pick up. Children from countless other schools meet at the playground then share a snack together. Eight children join Jane Cain for hand bell practice then the rest (26) head upstairs for our brief lesson and reflection stations. We use the “Way of the Child” curriculum, a hands-on, peace-filled, experience with God. Through art, sand, gazing, journaling, mission/world focus, and reading, children reflect on the lesson of the day, listening for God’s still and quiet voice. This class is a remarkable gift! Children tired from school and the stresses of life find sanctuary (and fun) here. We will continue Kids Club next school year. The church is a wonderful meeting place after school… and the addition of a Wednesday faith formation class only enhances the booming children’s choir program that already exists. Thanks be to God!

Vacation Bible School June 25-28

Register today! Click here for all the details and to register. Children age 4 (by Aug) through current 5th Graders are encouraged to attend. Youth (middle-high school) are welcome to volunteer.

Volunteer! We really need to solidify volunteers ASAP. VBS is weeks away. This is a fantastic way to connect to the church family and make lasting friendships. Plus, VBS truly doesn't happen without you! We need help with registration, snacks, crafts, photography, and small group leadership (guides). Now’s the time to sign up Contact Co-Directors Elizabeth Martin or Megan May to sign up or learn more. Thank you!

Weekday Preschool Butterfly Release

May 9 at Noon is the Butterfly Release! Sanctuary Steps, all are welcome at this special year-end celebration of life, children, Spring, and God's love.

The final day of school is May 23. We will miss the smiling faces over the summer. Blessings as children are off on new adventures! You're always welcome at DCPC.
