🌟Sunday Mornings at St. Andrew's 🌟
For children, Sunday mornings set a rhythm of faith. Worship, singing, and age-appropriate learning weave together to show them that life with God is both joyful and shared.
Learning Together
To nurture that rhythm, we’ve created classrooms that match their stage of growth and give them steady leadership each week.
Sunday School
Our classrooms are located in the Children’s Wing. Signs in the church entryway will help you find your way to each room. Each room is identified by a brightly colored door—look for the matching heart color to help guide you:
- ❤️ Nursery (Infant–3 years) – Christa McLaughlin
- 💛 Yellow Room (3yrs -Pre-K) – Sally Cox
- 💚 Green Room (Kindergarten–1st Grade) – Sarah Thompson
- 💙 Blue Room (2nd–4th Grade) – Veronica Wiebold
Parents: Come be a part of the classroom!
Join our lead teachers as the second adult—no prep, just a chance to be present, lend a hand, and share in the joy of growing in faith together. It’s also a wonderful way to get to know other families and build community at St. Andrew’s. Sign me up to be part of the Sunday school adventure.
Fall Curriculum
This fall, as St. Andrew's explores themes like Creating a Spiritual Growth Plan, Stewardship, and Advent, our children will be learning those same themes through the Gospel readings we hear on Sunday mornings—all in ways that are age-appropriate and engaging.
Parents can expect:

Simple practices that families can use to connect Sunday’s teaching with everyday life.
Singing Together
Singing is one of the simplest ways children experience God’s presence and connect with one another. Through music, they learn that worship is joyful and shared.
St. Andrew’s Singers (ages 3 and up):
- Meets Sundays, 10:00–10:15 a.m. in Room 208
- Led by Patrick Graham, a well-known music educator and artist in Kansas City. Patrick sings with the Kansas City Chorale, serves as Baritone Section Leader at St. Andrew’s, and recently celebrated his son’s baptism here. With years of experience working with children in music and the arts, Patrick brings wonderful gifts to help our kids lift their voices in songs of praise.
Worshiping Together
Worship is at the heart of who we are as a church family, and children are an important part of that. When kids join you in church, we want them to feel engaged and included in the experience of worship.
Kids’ Pew Packs—provide age-appropriate worship bags with quiet, interactive activities to help children participate meaningfully. You’ll find them each Sunday in the church entryway.
