Ways to Stay in Faith and Connection
Children's Ministry Response
During these next few weeks while we are practicing our social distancing, I will be providing different ways to try and stay connected with each other and with our faith.

  • I will be providing Sunday school lessons (below) that will continue to bring us closer to celebrating Easter morning.
  • Currently posting daily questions (Monday-Friday) on the children's facebook page (Church Street UMC Children). If you would like to participate in that please reply with your child's answer.
  • Creative ways to pray
  • Im working on sending out different movie lessons. You all can watch the movie as a family and then follow the discussion guide. The first one will come out Friday at noon.
  • We will be doing a recorded service for Sundays with a children's moment during it. Please be on the look out Thursday for more information on that.
Movie Discussion
Here is the first movie discussion sheet, it is for Frozen 2. Next week I will be doing Toy Story 4, Monsters Inc, and Cinderella.

  • help remind the kids that the disciples were in fact human just like us.

Creative Prayer Ideas
Here are four different prayer ideas:

  1. Create a post-it prayer wall. Each Post-it note can have a request or a name. Make a design out of the prayers or just try and fill the wall.
  2. Create a paper chain. Have each link be a new person that you all prayer for, adding one each day.
  3. Print a copy of the labyrinth (to the right) and trace it with your finger as a quiet and reflective time.
  4. Let everyone decorate their own prayer journal.
