Country Club Christian Church Children and Families Ministries

Emeri and George prepare communion for their family for Sunday morning worship.
If you have photos of your family worshipping and serving please share them with us here!

 Greetings CCCC Families!

I can imagine you find yourself overwhelmed with information and yet still unsure in these unchartered times.  What a difficult moment we find ourselves in and with things changing so quickly it is hard to adjust.   Kids may be excited about what they see as a extended vacation but it is also a challenging time with so many unknowns.  Although we may not be able to physically gather in the coming weeks - we want to stay connected, for we are all one in Christ.    I offer this prayer for your family to share as you are able.  Perhaps print it out so your children can help read it.  Please email with any ways we could help your family in this time.
Peace - Catherine

God In My Day

O God - we give thanks for this day,
For the smiles shown to us,
For the times we laughed,
For the kind words shared with us.

We know some days can be hard
And we feel sad or alone or mad.
Help us remember you are always with us O God
In the smiles and laughter and words!
You are even with us in our sadness and tears.
Thanks for loving us each and every day!
Amen!

This Week in Worship

Until further notice we will be gathering for worship via live streaming only. We invite you to worship by clicking  here  (scroll down to where it says Live Streaming) during the time you would normally attend worship, at 9:01, 10:00 or 11:00 a.m. The worship service will be the same at all three times, and will be a blending of our worship styles, including music, scripture, a moment for children, communion, prayer, and sermon. We invite you to have a bit of bread and juice ready so that we may share in communion.

Serve from home:

Our community and mission partners are on the front line doing their best to continue care and support for our neighbors during this time. Many of our partners are still "open" to provide prepared sack meals at the door and household items that are scarce at the stores, they are looking for donations- financial or otherwise. You can give online to our mission partners through our website. Visit our website, select "Give Now," and select our mission partner fund from the drop down menu. Funds will be dispersed as Corey Meyer, our Director of Mission Partnerships, is in conversations with our agencies. If you'd like to give in another way, we are collecting food for sack lunches, here is how you can help with that.

Here are a few things you can explore with your kids:

Many of you may be familiar with this from your child's school setting as it can be used for 'brain breaks'; inside recess; etc.   This could be a nice resource during this time of extended home time.  A wide range of physical and learning materials.   Take a look below...

GoNoodle created a free online resource GoNoodle: Good Energy at Home. It includes premium content and learning materials including movement and mindfulness videos as well as downloadable learning resources and ideas for off-screen activities - and if you sign up for email updates, they plan to send new ideas, activities, and tools to you weekly. There's also a Good Energy channel on all GoNoodle home apps (iOS, Android, AppleTV, Fire, Roku) where all the best GoNoodle videos can be used by kids directly. Whether it takes the form of a family dance party, a song and activity that reinforces something kids are learning at school, or a mindfulness or yoga video to help us all relieve stress and get a break from the intensity of it all - let's all work to create Good Energy with our kids during this stressful time.

I am sure you are getting many resources from school settings but just in case you have not heard of this site - check it out.  My family has used it to support their school learning but also to explore all kinds of subjects.

For a peak at some of God's good creation....check this out!

This Event is currently under construction, we are brainstorming ways to make this happen and be diligent with the social distancing and event regulations that are happening in our world at the moment.
We are open to suggestions - send to AprilB@cccckc.org.
