Sheri Brady Spirit of Excellence Award Given to Children's Trust-BLI Alum: Lakisha Dickerson

The Sheri Braddy Spirit of Excellence Award was presented to Lakisha Dickerson, owner of Lee's Fun To Learn Daycare and Tutoring Inc.


Lakisha successfully completed the Children's Trust funded Business Leadership Institute (BLI) program. The award acknowledges one remarkable BLI graduate in the state who has displayed vision and a sense of purpose with the courage to take on the difficult challenge of acquiring new skills in early learning childcare.

Affordable Connectivity Program

Federal Communications Commission announced that 20 of the nation's internet providers have committed to lowering costs for low-income households, a step that will essentially provide free high-speed internet for those participating the Affordable Connectivity Program. For Florida residents to get our share of the funding, our families need to sign up for themselves.

The City of Gainesville offers no-cost presentations on bicycle safety, laws, resources and information on facilities along our roadways for any age group. These sessions can be tailored to address any age from toddlers to seniors, You can sign up for a presentation: HERE!
